• Some users may find the subscription model annoying after the trial period.

Final Verdict – 8.7/10The Homey Bridge is an excellent entry-level smart home hub that brings the polished Homey experience (great Flow automations, wide compatibility, and local control) at a much lower price. It’s ideal for beginners or smaller setups and offers strong performance in Z-Wave, Zigbee, and IR control.However, the mandatory Homey Premium subscription after 3 months for more than 5 devices prevents it from being a perfect “set and forget” solution for growing smart homes. If you plan to expand beyond a handful of devices, the Homey Pro is worth the extra investment for its extra power, Matter/Thread support, and no device limits.Recommended for starters and small systems. If your smart home is modest and you’re okay with the subscription model, the Homey Bridge is a smart, user-friendly choice. Four-and-a-half stars for ease of use and design, but the subscription holds it back from a higher score. A solid, accessible way to get into the Homey ecosystem.
